The Weed Stalk is looking for a New Jersey recreational cannabis dispensary manager to oversee daily store operations, inventory tracking, compliance with state regulations, and staff leadership to ensure a safe, profitable & fun retail environment.

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) rules, including seed-to-sale tracking via Metrc, purchase limit enforcement, and state inspection readiness.
• Staff Management: Involvement in Hiring, training & scheduling,  budtenders, fostering a customer-focused retail culture.
• Inventory Control: Monitor product levels, manage vendor relationships, oversee secure product receiving, and conduct regular vault and floor audits to prevent loss or diversion.
• Cash Handling & Reporting: Oversee daily point-of-sale (POS) reconciliations, safe drops, banking deposits, and financial performance reporting for ownership or corporate leadership.
• Security & Safety: Ensure compliance with state-mandated security protocols, including camera monitoring, restricted-access areas, alarm systems, and employee safety training.
• Customer Experience: Resolve high-level customer inquiries, handle escalated complaints, and ensure product display accuracy and cleanliness on the sales floor.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years in cannabis retail, or a heavily regulated industry.
• State Licensing: Must be able to pass a background check and obtain any required employee registration or credentialing through the NJ-CRC.
• Product Knowledge: Deep familiarity with cannabis strains, consumption methods (flower, edibles, concentrates, vapes), and dosing guidance.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cannabis seed-to-sale software Metrc and Dutchie.
• Age & Legal Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old as required by New Jersey state law for cannabis handlers.
